Why "Turned Green?"

Most items are turned from "green" wood - trees fallen in recent storms or cut down because they were damaged, recycling wood that would otherwise be destroyed.   All pieces are from domestically grown trees (grown in the US).  No imported woods are used.

The beauty is in the wood itself

The lamp and lamp shade were turned from Cook Island Pine (often referred to as Norfolk Island Pine).  The lamp shade was turned quite thin, thin enough so it became translucent.  Turn the light off and the shade is the same color as the lamp base, but appears red when light shines through.

Unique gifts

Since each item is turned individually, no two are alike.  They all make excellent gifts, even if the gift is to youself.

Many of these pieces can be purchased online.  Click the link below to visit my store on Epsy.

A Note About Different Wood

Rosewood has international (import/export) restrictions.  There are no restrictions within the US.  Other woods contain allergens in their raw forms, but are dried and finished, so shouldn't cause allergic reactions in their finished state.
